The Marcello Giordani Foundation
and the Associazione ASAL Onlus
have the pleasure of presenting a series of unique and unforgettable concerts with the great Sicilian tenor, accompanied by the Orchestra conducted by Maestro Antonino Manulio, with the participation of elements of the Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania, and two opera productions,
La Traviata directed by
Enrico Stinchelli and
Cavalleria Rusticana directed by
Paolo La Delfa, with the participation of the singers of the opera laboratory, “Melodrama from study to performance”, which was held at the Teatro Bellini during the academic years 2009-10.
The series, under the artistic direction of M° Rosario Cicero, and with the special participation of M° Marcello Giordani, will begin on August 3rd and will end on August 23rd. Its goal is to promote opera by helping young and talented singers get the exposure necessary to further their careers. In this, tenor Marcello Giordani, through his Foundation, will be personally involved, ensuring also the participation of important local institutions like the Teatro Massimo Bellini which hosted the courses of the opera laboratory in 2009-10.
The locations selected for the series “Lyric Summer with Marcello Giordani 2010” are

Vizzini.
